An official said that youth pelted stones on the residence of MLA Shopian Muhammad Yousuf Bhat in Meemandar area. “Soon, police rushed to the spot to disperse the protesters. A rock hurled at a police officer hit him on the head,” he said, adding that he was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Bhat confirmed that rocks were hurled at his residence. “I was in Srinagar when the incident took place,” he said.
